We dined at Hupo during the Winter Restaurant Week earlier this year, and we were delighted by the thoughtfully crafted menu and bold flavors. The experience highlighted the restaurant's flair for Szechuan-inspired dishes, making for a memorable evening. To start, we enjoyed the Cucumber Soup Dumplings, a creative twist on a classic dish with a refreshing cucumber-infused filling that balanced the richness of the dumpling broth perfectly. Alongside, the Spicy Baby Cuttlefish delivered bold heat and a tender texture, setting the stage for the flavor-packed courses that followed. For entrées, the Mala Lobster Tail stood out with its spicy, aromatic sauce and tender lobster meat, while the Spicy Lamb Chop delivered a satisfying heat paired with a beautifully seared crust and juicy interior. On the vegetable side, we had the Sautéed Bok Choy with Abalone, which brought a delightful combination of tender greens and briny abalone, and the Stir-Fried Celtuce with Shrimp, a unique and crisp dish that highlighted the freshness of the celtuce and the shrimp. To round out the meal, desserts included the comforting Peach Gum with Milk, a silky, lightly sweet treat, and the whimsical Strawberry Sugar-Glazed Skewer, which added a playful and satisfying crunch to the finish. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet refined, making Hupo a wonderful spot to explore inventive Szechuan cuisine. Highly recommended for a flavorful and satisfying dining experience.

Pretty good spot! My favorite was the stewed fish. I was a bit disappointed by the mapo tofu though, as it was lacking in flavor and kind of just tasted like tofu. Scallion pancakes were really good and the chung king spicy chicken was good too! Service was fine and the ambiance was great! It was very cozy inside and lots of seating.

This place has become a consistent lunch take out spot for me on my WFH days. They have a weekday lunch special menu, with dishes ranging from $11-14(?). For a soup and relatively filling entree dish, I think it's definitely worth. Service is always super fast when I call ahead, and the food has been fresh and tasted great whenever I ordered. I do see that they have different course meal and drink pairings and more family-style dishes for sit down, so would definitely be open to trying that if I visit the restaurant for dinner.

Great selection of food, everything was super yummy and well portioned for the price. We ordered from here for a friend's birthday and I can't say anything bad about any of the dishes. I must go and try it in person!
